Last week we read the story titled: Farmer Duck as we worked on retelling, communities and being good citizens. Think about the story; tell me who the characters are in the story, where the story took place (setting). Also share with me what the problem and solution was then connect this story to our Social Studies objective on being a good citizen and communities. Give me good details... I can't wait to read your posts! *Don't forget to only post your initials and not your name!

The characters are the farmer, the duck, the sheep, hens/roosters, and the cow. The story took place at the farm. The problem in the story was that the farmer was being lazy and making the duck do all the work. To solve the problem, the animals chased the farmer away and he never came back. The animals were being good citizens by making a plan to help their friend Duck. They worked together to get all of the farm work done. That's being a good community.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
