In the story It's Mine, the characters did not have unity in their pond. They argued and didn't share. They were not being very good citizens. Good citizens work together, care for one another, and help each other. We discovered when we read the story that the characters changed from the beginning of the story to the end of it. Listen to the story again, if you need to and then share how you are a good citizen at school. Tell a way that you work as a team in our classroom or a way that you have helped a classmate.
Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a story that we read in class. This is a great way to get your child thinking about text & building his/her comprehension! Please encourage them to take part in this activity!
