Last week we read two stories about cats one was a fiction story (make-believe) called Go Cat Go, the other was called Mac the Cat. It was a Realistic Fiction. Remember this means it is a story that is fiction or hasn't happend, but the events in the story could happen in real life. We also made a Science connection through the non-fiction text called Pet Cats and Big Cats. In this text we learned true information about these different cats and we compared (Ways they are alike) how pet cats are similar and/or different than wild cat such as lions, tigers, leopards, etc.). Share with me one thing you learned about these types of cats. You can even share one of the comparisons we made in class. I can't wait to read your posts!!!

I don't know what kind of big cats climb up trees, but I know pet cats climb up trees. I know mama lions go hunt food for the king lion and then the mama lions get their own food and then the baby lions get their own food.

That big cats are wild and eat deer. That wild cats run faster than regular cats. Big cats can't jump as high as regular cats. They are similar because they have long cats and are good climbers.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
