Meet Mrs. Bennett...
Hello! My name is Mrs. Bennett, and I am so happy to be assisting Ms. Gower and Mrs. Watson this year! I am originally from a small town in upstate New York. After I graduated, my husband and I decided to leave the cold weather behind and move to North Carolina. Over the course of 8 years, I taught special education, second grade, and kindergarten. After my first daughter turned one, I decided to stay at home. I enjoyed watching my friend’s children and my niece during this time. I also spent 4 ½ years teaching English to Chinese children in a virtual classroom. My oldest daughter, Natalie, is now in 3rd grade, and my youngest daughter, Ellie, is starting kindergarten. I enjoy watching them participate in soccer, cheerleading, and dance. I also enjoy traveling, walking, hiking, gardening, trying new restaurants, and playing competitive sports. I look forward to playing volleyball this summer! When it was time for me to return to the workforce, I knew that I wanted to be back in the classroom. It brings me so much joy to watch children learn and grow. Now that you know a little about me, I look forward to learning all about your child! It’s going to be a great year!
