Does everyone eat turkey for Thanksgiving? Last week we read the story about Tuyet whose family is from Vietnam. Her family doesn't eat turkey on Thanksgiving; instead they eat duck. Tuyet thought her family was wrong and she had many different feelings throughout this story. Can you share two feelings Tuyet experienced and why her feelings changed? I can't wait to read your posts! | |

Last week we talked about the elements of a fiction story: characters, setting, problem, solution, and lesson. We had fun working in teams to share each of the elements to this story. Do you remember what they were? Tell who the characters were, where the story took place, what was the problem and the solution, and see if you can share the lesson of this awesome book.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
