I hope everyone is having a GrEaT track out and is reading lots of books during this break! Post at least 6 books that you've read during track out here along with a short description about the stories (This story is about....). You will earn a Hard Work Positive, lunch with me, and a No Homework Pass when we track back in. I can't wait to see all the great books you are reading!

Last week we read the story Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky. We also listed to the story being told by an African Story Teller. We talked about how folktales often try to explain or give reason for why things in nature are like they are. This story shared with us that Sun and Moon were forced into the sky when Sea and his friends filled up their tiny house with water after being invited in. I want you to CREATE (exercise your brain) your own story for why Sun and Moon live in the sky. Be creative... make sure your story has a beginning, middle, and end! I can't wait to read them! |
Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
