Last week we read the story: Somewhere in the World Right Now. We discovered that our world is made up of different time zones and right at this very moment people all over the world are doing different things. Some may be sleeping while others are at school and some are just waking up while others are getting ready for dinner. It was pretty amazing to see what time it was in different parts of the world as we Googled different countries. Above is the video we watched in class Thursday about school in Japan. It was pretty neat to learn about their culture and what a typical day looks like. Watch the video again (if you need to) and tell me one thing you found interesting about their schools; then make some comparisons & connections. Tell me one way our schools are like theirs and one way they are different. Use examples from the video and complete sentences. I can't wait to read your posts!

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
