Our Book of the Week last week was A Bad Case of Stripes. We took part in some great activities as we focused on this story; one of which was Cause and Effect. Share with me at least one cause and effect from the story. If you want to hear the story again then click the picture of the storybook to listen to it one more time!

Camilla wanted to fit in with everyone at school. They didn't like lima beans, but she did. Even though she liked lima beans she never wanted to eat them and it caused her to turn into stripes. Because she didn't eat lima beans she turned into stripes.

Camilla turned into her room. The effect was that a lady came in and she said that she was an effecter. She said close your eyes, breathe in. Be the one that turns into.

Camilla was scared to eat lima beans because no one in her class at school liked lima beans. So, she wouldn't heal from the stripes.

Camilla turned into stripes because she wasn't eating lima beans. Now she eats lima beans every day to keep the stripes away.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
