| Last week we read the story, Lemon the Duck. This is a true story about a duck who is unable to balance and walk on his own. He was fortunate to have a group of compassionate students that wanted to help. They worked together to help create a harness that would help Lemon stand and walk. These students had empathy and showed compassion. I loved how they worked as a team to help Lemon. In our classroom, we are working on these skills too. Make a connection to this story. Tell me about a time you helped someone (at home or school). I can't wait to see all the good citizens I have in my classroom and read about how you had empathy and showed compassion. |

I helped my dad find his drum sticks. That's how I helped him.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
