Last week we read non-fiction texts that focused on the Rainforest. We learned about interesting plants and animals that live within this habitat. Share at least three facts that you learned this week. Use examples from the books that I shared with you in class. You can even do a little more research on this topic and share some new information as well. As always, I can't wait to read your posts =)

I learned that poison arrow frogs existed. I also learned they are red, small and very poisonous. Another thing I learned that scorpions are in the rainforest. I also learned that trees can grow close to ten stories tall or 200 feet. From the research I did, I learned that ants follow each other to get places in the rainforest. I also learned that the rainforest is older than dinosaurs.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
