We had so much fun with these two books last week. First we used the illustrations in the books to tell about the characters, setting and to make predictions about the events within the stories. Then we learned about comparing and contrasting. Y'all were so engaged making comparisons of these stories to the story of The Three Little Pigs. For our Blog this week, compare one of these stories to The Three Little Pigs. Make sure you share at least one way they were alike and one way they were different. |

In the 3 little pigs story the pigs each built a house for their safety, but the wolf blew 2 of them down because they weren't built very good, but the 3rd pigs was a good house. In the 3 little wolves and the big bad pig, the wolves built lots of houses because the big bad pig kept knocking them down. And that is how the 2 stories were alike and different.

The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs was the same as The 3 Little Pigs because they made their houses out of the same materials and there was a wolf and three pigs. It was different because the wolf had a granny instead of a mother.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
