This week we focused on what it was like to be a kid. We made comparisons of children from around the world to us. We noted details in pictures and had conversations about the information we gained from them plus the words in the story. We could see many similarities between us and the children in this story. Think about both the pictures and the words from this book. What was the author's purpose for writing To Be a Kid. What did she want you to know/learn. Explain your answer in complete sentence:s The author's message was....; I think the author wanted me to know/learn... These are just a couple sentence starters. You should use examples and details from the story in your response. I can't wait to read your posts. Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
