I read "Smelly Socks" by Robert Munsch. Tina is the main character and she wants new socks. When she gets new socks she never takes them off. Her socks start to stink and finally the kids at her school take her to the river and they wash her smelly socks. I like the book because it's funny and I like the pictures.

I read "Arthur's Fire Drill." In the book Arthur's sister DW learns about fire drills in her preschool. At home DW has a loud whistle and a fire hat and she does her own fire drill for their family. I like the book because it gives me a list of fire safety steps.

I just finished reading "Junie B Jones Shipwrecked." It's all about Columbus Day. Junie B Jones and her class make a play about Columbus Day. I like the book because some parts of it tell me facts about Columbus Day.

Today I read "Charlie the Ranch Dog." Charlie helps on the farm with another dog named Spring. Charlie and Spring get the cows out of the garden. I like the pictures of the dogs in the book.

Flip! Here your child will have an opportunity to respond to a question that connects to the learning happening in our classroom. This is a great way to get your child reflecting about their classroom experiences and sharing all the great things happening with you. It also helps me reflect too! Please encourage them to take part in this activity! They will earn a special treat when they do. Archives
